Friday, 10 April was opening day for the Red Sox at Fenway Park.  Since Friday, 10 April is associated with two major religious hollidays (Good Friday and Passover) the decision was made not to sell beer at Fenway Park on opening day...but all the neighboring bars are expecting to do record business!

The "Green Monster"

On 1 September 1998, the Boston Red Sox hosted the Seattle Mariners at Fenway Park.  The highlight of the game was when a young pitcher that the Red Sox had just called up from their Pawtucket, RI farm team managed to hit future Hall of Famer Junior Griffey with his first pitch.  Guess that's something he can tell his grandchildren someday!
